Crane said its expansion will better facilitate its freight forwarding and third-party logistics services for deliveries by air, land and ocean.
The new facility doubles Crane’s warehouse space, including a larger storage yard, which the company said will allow it to process a higher volume of goods and accommodate requests from customers to store freight until delivery. The new headquarters also accommodates refrigerated cargo.
Crane was formed by nine members in 2008 and is run by Chairman Jim Crane, who owns the baseball team Houston Astros, and President John Magee. The company has grown to 75 offices in 21 countries and 1,000 employees with about $420 million in revenues.
