Crime analytics firm, insurance broker take on cargo theft

   The cargo division of Verisk Crime Analytics has entered into an alliance with insurance brokerage and risk management firm Integro Insurance Brokers to support the cargo theft prevention efforts of Integro’s domestic property broker and forwarder clients.
   Under the agreement, Integro will provide complementary membership to Verisk’s CargoNet system for all of its logistics liability program clients.
   CargoNet is centered on a national database and information-sharing system managed by crime analysts and subject matter experts. The aim of the system is to prevent cargo theft and improve chances of recovery in the event of theft.
   “This initiative demonstrates Integro’s willingness to do all that it can for its clients to mitigate cargo theft and supply chain interruption,” said Garry Rivell, vice president of insurance services at CargoNet. – Eric Johnson
