The 272-TEU vessel “Zeran” will have a 10-day voyage rotation and call Port Everglades, St. Croix and St. Thomas. The first sailing of the new service was made Nov. 24.
The new service is in addition to Crowley’s weekly service using two 530-TEU ships from Jacksonville and Port Everglades, calling at St. Thomas every Sunday and St. Croix every Monday, followed by calls to Trinidad, Barbados and St. Vincent.
The new 10-day service will increase Crowley’s capacity in the U.S./Virgin Islands trade by 26 percent.
