Crowley back to normal in South Florida

Crowley Liner Services officials said Tuesday that vessel operations at Port Everglades have returned to normal following Hurricane Wilma.

Its Miami logistics distribution center, liner sales office, non-vessel-operating common carrier operations and apparel services groups are also back to normal.

Crowley, which provides services from operations in Florida, throughout the Caribbean and Central America, noted it was the last carrier to stop operations at Port Everglades before the storm and the first to resume operations when the Coast Guard gave its final clearance for vessel operations.

Although the company experienced some damage to its administrative office at Port Everglades, employees returned to work last week after they were cleared to enter by the Broward County Sheriff's Office and the port authority.
