CROWLEY EXPANDS RATE PACT WITH DESCARTES    The Descartes Systems Group, based in Waterloo, Ontario, a provider of Internet logistics solutions, said Monday that Crowley Liner Services has broadened its transportation rate management agreement with Descartes.
   As part of the expanded agreement, Descartes’ E-Transport division will provide Crowley with rate publishing and retrieval services for all of Crowley’s offices in North and Central America, as well as in the Caribbean.
   Crowley, based in Jacksonville, Fla., carries ocean cargo between the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the eastern and western Caribbean, Panama and Mexico.
   Formerly known as Crowley American Transport, Crowley Liner Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Crowley Maritime Group, based in Oakland, Calif.
   More than 850 companies license Decartes products in 35 vertical industries in more than 50 countries.
