Crowley: Jacksonville, Everglades may stop cargo operations
Terminals in Port Everglades and Jacksonville may close Saturday as Hurricane Jeanne moves westwards towards Florida, Crowley Liner Services said Thursday.
“The Coast Guard has currently alerted maritime interests that gale force winds are expected in the area within 72 hours,” it said, commenting on both port Everglades and Jacksonville.
Crowley’s reports were based on current information and tracking, and said that this may change as the storm’s path becomes clearer.
