CROWLEY MARITIME MAKES THREE EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS

   Crowley Maritime Corp. has made three executive appointments in three company subsidiaries.

   Dennis Derby has been appointed vice president and general manager of Crowley's Caribbean Islands Service.

   Derby, a 20-year veteran of Crowley, has been vice president and general manager, sales and marketing for the Puerto Rico and Caribbean group.

   Tom Farmer replaces Derby as vice president and general manager of sales and marketing for Crowley Liner Services – Puerto Rico/Caribbean.

   A 21-year veteran of the company, Farmer was vice president of pricing and yield management for the Puerto Rico and Caribbean group.

   Farmer and Derby report to John Douglass, senior vice president and general manager, Crowley Liner Services –    Puerto Rico and Caribbean.

   In addition, Nate Asplund has been named director of international marking for Crowley Marine Services – East Coast and international.

   He has principal responsibility for developing the corporation's logistics and related multi-year service contracts for the energy industry, primarily in the international arena, Crowley said.

   Asplund joined Crowley in 1994 as a corporate planning senior analyst in Oakland. He has been director of marketing and solutions development for Crowley Logistics Inc. for the past two years.

   All three men will be based in Jacksonville.
