CROWLEY MARITIME SELECTS G-LOG SOFTWARE

CROWLEY MARITIME SELECTS G-LOG SOFTWARE    Crowley Maritime Corp. has selected G-Log to provide logistics software.
   G-Log will deliver advanced functionality to Crowley’s logistics operations worldwide, the Oakland, Calif.-based shipping group said.
   Through the G-Log platform, Crowley will provide a comprehensive global enterprise logistics solution that includes order management, optimization, transportation execution, and alert tracking function.
   Crowley believes that this will enhance its ability to meet customers’ expectations for accurate, timely and useful supply chain information. The shipping group said that it aims to have efficient workflow, management by exception, and improved automation to contribute to greater supply chain efficiency.
   G-Log’s platform will also enable Crowley’s operations to provide “a competitive and differentiated level of service to its customers by providing advanced visibility to freight movements,” the shipping company said.
   The agreement with G-Log will include initial implementation in two of Crowley’s subsidiaries, Crowley Logistics and Crowley Marine Services, including its energy logistics group.
