Crowley moving transit system buses to Puerto Rico

Crowley moving transit system buses to Puerto Rico Jacksonville-based Crowley Maritime Corp. said today it has loaded and shipped 10 buses for the Puerto Rico Metropolitan Bus Authority that will arrive in San Juan on Tuesday.
   The news is significant in Puerto Rico because the soft economy on the island and increasing costs for operating vehicles have increased demand for public transportation and strained the bus system.
   Crowley said it will ship 10 more buses next month, helping to further alleviate the situation.

The products and material we carry help make life better for all of us living here,' said Roberto Lugo, vice president of Crowley's Puerto Rico services.
