Crowley names logistics agent for Dominican Republic
Crowley Maritime Corp. said Wednesday it has named a Santo Domingo forwarder/broker and logistics services company as its local logistics agent for the Dominican Republic.
Crowley said Caribbean International Cargo (CIC) will be able to serve as a single point of access for freight forwarding, customs brokerage, ocean and air shipments, warehousing, and domestic trucking within the Dominican Republic.
Crowley noted CIC employees have extensive experience in the Dominican Republic trade, with some being involved with service to non-vessel-operating common carrier customers for 15 years.
CIC will initially assign four of its professionals to work with Crowley customers.
