Crowley names VP of Dominican Republic, Haiti services
Crowley Maritime Corp. has named Tony Otero to vice president of Dominican Republic-Haiti and Cuba liner services.
He will be based at the company’s Jacksonville, Fla., office and report to John Hourihan, senior vice president and general manager of Latin America services.
Otero will be responsible for the coordination of the countries’ sales, marketing, and operations activities; overseeing the development of policies and procedures; reviewing operating results; establishing annual revenue and capital and budgets; coordinating and negotiating contractor and service provider agreements and developing business relations. Otero will also implement Crowley’s planned roll-on/roll-off service enhancements to the countries.
He started his career as a senior accountant at Crowley in 1998 after working several years for accounting firm Deloitte & Touch'. He has held several management positions within Crowley, including accounting manager, finance director and, most recently vice president of finance and planning for the liner and logistics business units.
