The first warehouse, which opened this week near the Jacksonville International Airport, provides a variety of services including cargo receiving and segregation, labeling, packing and crating, pick and pack/kitting, storage, inventory management, retail schedule deliveries, and HazMat handling. The new 49,702-square-foot facility replaced a former facility in the Jacksonville area and provides customers with more capacity and yard space. In addition, the warehouse features 12 dock-high doors for faster cargo handling. The location operates Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
The second warehouse, which is scheduled to open Oct. 1, is designed to provide less-than-containerload and cross-docking services. Customers can use the 45,580-square-foot bonded facility for cargo segregation, P.O. management, cargo tracking, transfers, freight forwarding, cargo insurance, consolidation and deconsolidation, less-than-trailerload, and HazMat handling. The warehouse features a 31,500-square-foot area for cross-docking, 58 dock high doors and over 150 container yard spots. The location will operate Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
“Crowley’s warehousing and distribution business has continued to grow,” Crowley General Manager, Logistics Ayesha Diaz said in a statement. “Both of these warehouse moves are part of a larger strategy to improve the customer experience while aligning our operational and customer needs.”
