CROWLEY TO OPERATE MARINE TERMINAL FOR FORD IN BRAZIL Ford Motor Co. Brasil Ltda. Has chosen Crowley Logistics Inc. to operate a marine terminal for the automaker near its new Amazon manufacturing complex in Bahia, Brazil.
   Crowley will assist Ford in overseeing construction of the Ponta da Laje Terminal, located in Aratu Bay, Bahia. The terminal will handle all of Ford's inbound vehicles to Brazil and outbound vehicles assembled at Ford's new Amazon plant.
   Crowley will oversee operations design, planning and implementation as well as terminal operations management. Functions Crowley will perform include vehicle handling, staging, port security, yard operations, pre-delivery inspection, vehicle damage repair and port administration.
   Crowley Logistics, based in Jacksonville, is a subsidiary of Oakland, Calif.-based Crowley Maritime Corp.
