CROWLEY WILL RUN BIGGER SHIPS TO CENTRAL AMERICA

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Crowley Liner Services is replacing three smaller ships with two 330-TEU vessels on its Gulf-Central America Northern Zone service between the U.S. Gulf, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador.

Sailings will depart twice-weekly from Gulfport on Tuesdays and Fridays for Puerto Cort's, Honduras, and Santo Tom's, Guatemala. Managua and San Salvador are served overland via Puerto Cort's and Santo Tom's, respectively.

The service had sailed three times per week from Gulfport.

The first of the new vessels, the Crowley Express, entered service August 11. The second, Crowley Universe, commences in September.

Full details of the revised service will be posted on the global liner shipping database, ComPairData (http://www.compairdata.com) as they become available.
