CSA postpones bunker surcharge increase again
Members of the Caribbean Shipowners Association announced another postponement of bunker surcharge increase that had been scheduled for Sunday, April 17.
The increase of $30 per TEU is now scheduled for implementation on April 24.
Bunker surcharges apply to all shipments Southbound and Northbound between the United States and Anguilla, Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saba, St. Barts, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Trinidad, Jamaica, Guyana and Suriname.
CSA members include Bernuth, CMA CGM, Crowley, Seaboard Marine, SeaFreight Line and Zim.
