CSafe Global completes Kalibox acquisition

Cold chain solutions provider CSafe Global acquired Kalibox, adding over 5,000 square meters of manufacturing in two European locations to CSafe’s current six North American locations that have a combined space of over 20,000 square meters.

Dayton, Ohio-based cold chain solutions provider CSafe Global has completed the acquisition of Kalibox, which provides cold chain packaging solutions throughout Europe.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CSafe said the acquisition adds over 5,000 square meters of manufacturing in two European locations to its current six North American locations that have a combined space of over 20,000 square meters.
Kalibox is based near Paris and has two manufacturing locations in France. The company specializes in the design and manufacturing of temperature-controlled packaging for pharmaceutical and other healthcare applications, offering a full range of transit solutions including insulated pallet shippers, pre-qualified cold chain containers and insulated courier bags. In addition, Kalibox manufactures thermal stabilizer packs using its patented Thermal Regulated Buffer technology.
CSafe’s active and passive containers transport temperature-sensitive materials throughout the world for a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, military, disaster relief organizations, airlines, and forwarding and logistics specialists.
“CSafe currently has the industry’s broadest line of cold chain solutions,” CSafe President and CEO Brian Kohr said. “This investment to expand our product offering to include an alternate but needed design of passive packaging along with a line of passive pallet shippers and gel bricks allows CSafe to continue to help our customers create the most efficient, effective, reliable and secure temperature controlled supply chain.”
“The merger with CSafe is a strategic move for Kalibox and its customers, Kalibox CEO Antoine Soulas and Kalibox COO Christophe Langerock jointly said. “It will allow us to accelerate our development, accompany our customers globally, and create value for them in significantly extending our product offering in Europe.
