CSAV Norasia adds Ukraine call to Black Sea Service

Hong Kong-based ocean carrier CSAV Norasia today said it will add a direct call to the port of Ilyichevsk in the Ukraine to its weekly Asia-Black Sea Service (ABS).

   The first vessel to call at Ilyichevsk will be the 4,250-TEU Norasia Atria, currently sailing from China.

   CSAV Norasia operates ABS as a standalone service, with eight ships averaging 4,200 TEUs. Hapag-Lloyd recently ended its participation on the service on which it ran one vessel.

   The revised ABS port rotation will be: Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Chiwan, Port Kelang, Port Said, Constanta, Ilyichevsk, Odessa, Istanbul (Ambarli), Port Said, Jeddah, Colombo, Port Kelang, Chiwan and back to Xingang.
