CSAV starts Europe/U.S./West Coast South America loop

   Valparaiso-based Compania Sud Americana de Vapores has started a liner service connecting northern Europe, the U.S. East Coast, the Caribbean and the West Coast of South America.

   The service will use three ships of about 1,800 TEUs and have a sailing frequency of approximately every 19 days. The port rotation is Rotterdam; Bremerhaven; Tilbury; Charleston, S.C.; Kingston; Rio Haina; Cartagena, Colombia; Buenaventura; San Vicente; San Antonio; Buenaventura; Cartagena; Rio Haina; and back to Rotterdam.

   The service calls Charleston eastbound only.
