CSAV to add Asia/U.S. East Coast service

CSAV to add Asia/U.S. East Coast service    Liner carrier CSAV said Friday it is starting an all-water transpacific service in conjunction with China Shipping.
   The two carriers will add a second string to its AMEX service March 21, deploying nine vessels with an average capacity of 4,200 TEUs.
   The AMEX 2 loop will be operated with China Shipping vessels, while the existing AMEX loop is operated solely with CSAV vessels, the Chilean carrier said.
   The AMEX 2 will have a rotation of Shanghai, Xiamen, Yantian, Hong Kong, Lazaro Cardenas, New York-New Jersey, Norfolk, Savannah, Miami, Lazaro Cardenas and Shanghai.
   The line's existing AMEX service has a rotation of Busan, Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Port Everglades, Charleston, New York/New Jersey, Savannah, Kingston, Manzanillo, and Busan.
