CSCMP holds European conference in Amsterdam
The first European conference of the U.S.-based Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), formerly the Council of Logistics Management, held last week in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, focused on the sustaining and development of global European supply chains.
The conference, attended by more than 100 logisticians and supply change implementers from 21 countries, also discussed 'the need for cooperation and collaboration to accomplish supply chain goals,' said Thomas Speh, who chaired the conference.
Procter & Gamble, NIKE, Ikea, and Accenture were among companies featured in the conference's sessions. Peter Williams, vice president for product supply of Procter & Gamble International SA, gave the keynote address.
