CSX LINES PROMOTES PEAKE, HIRES PRIVRATSKY, FORMER MTMC HEAD

   CSX Lines, the large domestic liner operator, has promoted Frank Peake to vice president, strategy and planning, and has appointed Maj. Gen. Kenneth Privratsky to vice president and general manager, Alaska division.

   Peake has led the company's Alaska division since March 2000. For his new position, he will relocate to CSX Lines' headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.

   Privratsky last month completed his 33-year career in the U.S. Army, serving most recently as commanding general of the U.S. Military Traffic Management Command. His career duties have included several tours in transportation management and logistics. During 192-94 he served as both director of logistics and commander of division support command in Fort Richardson, Alaska.
