CTSA fuel surcharges down 66% in two months

The 11 member shipping lines of the Canada Transpacific Stabilization Agreement on Friday announced new bunker surcharges that show how far the cost of fuel has dropped in recent months.

   The surcharges have dropped 66 percent in just two months. The new fuel recovery charges will be:

   ' $328 per TEU.

   ' $410 per FEU.

   ' $461 per 40-foot, high-cube container.

   ' $519 per 45-foot container.

   ' $9 weight/measure adjustment.

   Meanwhile, CTSA's currency adjustment factor will be dropped to 0 percent in January.

   CTSA member lines are APL, COSCO Container Lines, Evergreen Line, Hanjin Shipping, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, 'K' Line, NYK Line, OOCL, Yang Ming and Zim Integrated Shipping Services Ltd.
