CTSA lines raise bunker surcharge

CTSA lines raise bunker surcharge

   Member lines of the Canada Transpacific Stabilization Agreement said Thursday they are amending the bunker surcharge they assess on shipments from Asia beginning Jan. 1.

   For East Coast ports, the fuel recovery charge will be $582 per 20-foot container, $727 per 40-foot container, $818 per 40-foot high-cube, and $920 per 45-footer.

   For West Coast ports, the charge will be $294 per 20-foot container, $368 per 40-foot container, $414 per 40-foot high-cube, and $466 per 45-footer.

   The lines last changed the surcharge in October.

   CTSA member lines are APL, COSCO Container Lines, Evergreen, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, 'K' Line, NYK Line, OOCL, Yang Ming and Zim Integrated Shipping Services.
