CTSA lines raise rates in mid-March

   Container shipping lines in the Canada Transpacific Stabilization Agreement said last week they plan to raise rates in mid-March.
   The suggested increase, $400 per FEU, is effective from March 15, with other equipment size rates per formula, the organization said.
   “These rate increases are interim, and are subject to any additional subsequent increases,” CTSA said in a statement.
   Earlier last week, the Transpacific Stabilization Agreement said it’s seeking rate increases of $300 per FEU from mid-March, followed by another $500 per FEU from May 1.
   CTSA members are APL, COSCO Container Lines, Evergreen Line, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, “K” Line, NYK Line, OOCL, Yang Ming, and Zim.
