Dachser expanding less-than-container load services

The company headquartered in Germany is adding 26 connections and increasing the frequency of six services.

Dachser is launching 26 less-than-container load connections this year and increasing the frequency of departures for six of its existing services from every two weeks to every week.
“Customers taking advantage of our LCL services benefit from attractive transit times, faster availability of goods at the city of destination, greater flexibility and precise supply chain planning thanks to container management and direct sea connections,” said Günther Laumann, head of global ocean freight at Dachser.
To date, Dachser has added the following fixed routes to its LCL groupage transports: weekly LCL services from Bremen to new destinations in the United States — Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston, Houston, Atlanta and Charlotte; Hamburg to Nhava Sheva and Chennai, India; and from Hamburg to New Delhi, India, as of June 1.
In the other direction, there are connections from Chennai and Nhava Sheva to Hamburg, which have been supplemented by connections from New Delhi and Bangalore to Hamburg. Another new connection is a weekly route from Shanghai in China to Santos in Brazil. Dachser will run routes out of Antwerp to Hong Kong, Veracruz, Singapore, Busan and Nhava Sheva.
The company said it sees great potential in expanding its sea freight network for Dachser Interlocking. Because of the close collaboration between Dachser Air & Sea Logistics and Dachser European Logistics, the company can offer its customers fully integrated logistics solutions comprising transport, warehousing and value-added services.
