Data2Logistics focuses on freight details

   Data2Logistics is planning to narrow its focus to infuse its system with up-to-date, market-based information and cost-saving freight bill auditing actions in the hope of benefiting shippers.
   The global freight bill processing, auditing, and cost-reduction advisor said combining these services will benefit both inbound and outbound shippers, whether they operate domestically or internationally, by providing a multifaceted, ongoing approach to optimize freight transportation and provide related cost savings.
   Data2Logistics’ new information component will give customers a set of analytical tools for data mining of information and allow shippers to make more informed decisions around carrier choices. The company said its new service will also allow shippers to measure associated rates, fees, accessorial charges, and build out information reports to identify opportunities, weaknesses, and threats in their network.
   Using this single solution, the company said it will give companies the ability to track and report on any data element for any market their company services. Reports will be able to provide information about carrier usage by lane, volume, average cost per pound, and service type.
   Another goal of this unified platform is to identify errors and inefficiencies. Data2Logistics focuses on these savings when processing freight invoices, doing pre-pay audits, managing financial transactions and documents, and monitoring auxiliary options like additional charges or discount rates.
