Daylight Transport taps Con-Way executive as president

Daylight Transport said Friday it has appointed Kacey Fallert as president of the Long Beach-based less-than-truckload expeditor and logistics provider.

   A 28-year veteran of the transportation industry, Fallert most recently was vice president of operations at Con-way Freight-Western in Buena Park. Prior to joining Con-Way in 1990, He worked in various management positions at the San Jose-based FedEx-subsidiary Viking Freight System, where he steadily progressed through frontline management positions.

   Fallert will replace outgoing Daylight Transport President Steve Vaughn, who will remain with the firm in the capacity of long-term consultant.

   The Los Angeles Business Journal has listed Daylight Transport as one of the top 100 motor carriers in the nation and one of the country's 100 largest privately held companies.
