Dayton Freight relocates Michigan service center

The less-than-truckload carrier opened a new service center in Grayling, Mich. yesterday to replace its smaller service center in Kalkaska, Mich.

   Dayton Freight opened a new service center in Grayling, Mich. yesterday to replace its smaller service center in Kalkaska, Mich, the less-than-truckload carrier said.
   The $2 million service center features a 32-door dock, compared to the nine-door dock at the old service center, Dayton Freight Service Center Manager Dan Karcher said.
   The new service center is located off I-75 on 25 acres of land.
   Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, Dayton Freight has 47 service centers across the Midwest region. The LTL carrier has a fleet of 1,228 tractors and 3,109 trailers.
