DCT Gdansk receives first train    DCT Gdansk, Poland's new 500,000-TEU capacity deepwater container terminal, Wednesday received its first train at its on-dock rail terminal when PCC Rail SA brought in more than 50 Hapag-Lloyd containers.
   The containers will be loaded onto a Team Lines feeder vessel, which is due to berth Friday and officially inaugurate operations at the terminal.
   DCT Gdansk's rail facility can accommodate and handle two 600-meter (1,968.5 feet) block trains at a time although initially the second track will be used to release the locomotive. However, the design of the terminal is such that up to four tracks can be commissioned.
   Other train operators will also have access to the rail terminal with PCC Rail acting as a neutral terminal operator on behalf of DCT Gdansk. The terminal will be offering three roundtrips per week between Gdansk and Euroterminal in Slawk'w in southern Poland, which could rise depending on customer demand.
