Dedola Global validated by C-TPAT

Dedola Global validated by C-TPAT Los Alamitos-based Dedola Global Logistics announced last week that it has successfully been validated by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's C-TPAT program.
   In 2003, the nearly $40 million-a-year firm became one of the first non-vessel-operating common carriers to obtain C-TPAT certification, the first step to becoming validated by CBP.
   The C-TPAT program, whose goal is to partner federal security agencies with the trade community for the purpose of securing the U.S. and international supply chains from possible intrusion by terrorist organizations, is CBP's premier trade security program.
   To obtain validation under C-TPAT, firms are required to document and validate their supply chain security procedures in relation to existing CBP-devised guidelines.
   According to the 31-year-old Dedola, a key step in the firm achieving the validation from CBP was the creation of an internal validation process to ensure the existence of security measures documented in their Supply Chain Security Profile and in any supplemental information provided to CBP.
   With headquarters just over the Los Angeles County border in Orange County's Los Alamitos, the firm employs about 100 workers and operates offices in San Francisco; Seattle; Greensboro, N.C.; and Shanghai, China.
