Delphis offloads Team Lines to Samskip after short ownership Belgium’s Delphis has decided to sell the door-to-door business of Team Lines, North Europe’s second-largest feeder operator, to Samskip for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will take effect July 1.
   Delphis bought Team Lines last summer, paying 40 million euros ($53.4 million) to purchase the Hamburg-based carrier from Finnlines. Delphis said it would now “focus on marine operations and serve as a Pan-European platform for both deep sea lines as well as short-sea and multimodal container logistics providers like Samskip.”
   With the acquisition, Samskip is buying a business operating in more than 10 European markets, predominantly linking the North West Continent and the United Kingdom with Iberia, Scandinavia, the Baltic states and Russia. Samskip’s volumes to and from the Baltics and Russia alone are now expected reach 100,000 TEUs.
   Team Lines will continue to operate as before with Samskip enjoying fixed allocations on Team Lines’ vessels. The agreement also includes the transfer of staff and container equipment.
