Deringer grows consolidation services

The company recorded a 35-percent, year-over-year, increase in its container load consolidation console program.    A.N. Deringer grew its freight forwarding business more than 25 percent compared to last year, with a 35-percent, year-over-year, increase in its container load consolidation console services, the company said in a statement.
   While weekly consolidations to Los Angeles, New York and Toronto have grown, the logistics provider stated, its most significant gains are from Shanghai to the United States and Canada.
   When using Deringer’s full container load services, customers will use different LCL consolidations, so they can make deadlines even if lacking the cargo to fill an entire container load.
   “Sometimes it’s about getting the goods on the water to meet a particular deadline,” Matt Parrott, director of transportation for Deringer, stated. “Using a console means customers don’t have to wait until the entire product order is manufactured before shipping what’s needed.”
