DESCARTES PARTNERS WITH CAP GEMINI ERNST & YOUNG    The Descartes Systems Group, based in Waterloo, Ontario, an e-commerce logistics provider, has started a strategic alliance with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, a management and information technology consulting firm, to provide business-to-business fulfillment solutions for clients of each company.
   Using Descartes’ DeliveryNet technology for the rapid connection of a customer’s trading partners to a single network, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Descartes will jointly integrate and market their online logistics services.
   Aivars Lode, group president at Descartes, praised Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s “account management for networked systems.” Phil Robers, global supply chain leader at Cap Gemini, noted how Descartes “has enabled organizations in multiple industries to undergo rapid transformations to the Internet.”
