DEUTSCHE POST ACQUIRES BRITISH MAIL OPERATOR
Acquisition-hungry Deutsche Post has taken over Herald International Mailings Ltd., one of the U.K.’s three largest private international mail distribution companies.
Deutsche Post said that the acquisition will strengthen its presence in the U.K. and enable it to provide value-added mail services to its customers located there.
Herald has 150 employees and an annual revenue of '14.5 million ($23.2 million).
The acquisition is Deutsche Post’s first European mail purchase and follows the recent acquisition in the U.S. of two similar companies, Global Mail Ltd. and YellowStone International Corp.
