DEUTSCHE POST TEAMS UP WITH BRAZILIAN POST
Deutsche Post has won a contract to help the Brazilian post office
modernize Brazil’s parcel delivery system, according to the company.
Deutsche Post expects an official announcement from the Universal Postal
Union by the end of June. The UPU, a United Nations organization formed by the world’s
postal firms to work with national post offices to improve
delivery infrastructure and operations, will award the contract.
Deutsche Posts Swiss logistics subsidiary Danzas recently purchased
Brazilian logistics operator DDF Logistica with hopes of expanding its
presence in the Latin American logistics market.
Deutsche Post also operates a joint venture with Argentina’s largest
private postal company, Organizacion Coordinadora Argentina (OCA).
