Deutsche Post World Net restructures management

Deutsche Post World Net, the German parent company of DHL, has realigned its management structure, seeing its air, sea and road forwarding units all now grouped within its logistics division.

Management responsibility for the enlarged logistics division now rests with one board member, John Allan. The express unit will now be lead by one member of the management board, John Mullen, instead of its previous dual structure. Peter Kruse has left the management board to assume a new role as a special representative of Chief Executive Officer Klaus Zumwinkel.

“With a central management of the European road cargo business the market position of DHL can be strengthened and further revenue potential can be realized,” Deutsche Post World Net said in a statement.

“The new structure will also allow for a better transparency in the capital market as the margin of the express division will be better comparable to competitors.”
