DHL announces fashion program

   DHL and IMG Fashion have launched a new program, DHL Exported, to help support and propel the worldwide fashion industry, according to a news release.
   Designers will submit an application and choose between four elite foreign events, including London Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week. A committee will choose designers to then debut their collections at the events, with spots on the schedule and funded and produced runway shows.
   “DHL has been a longtime partner of fashion weeks worldwide and has continuously supported the advancement of the fashion industry,” stated Jarrad Clark, vice president and global creative director of IMG Fashion Events and Properties. “DHL Exported stands out from other programs as it aims to help designers who are already locally notable but need that extra boost to further reach their international goals. While there are many successful programs to help emerging talent or designers succeed within one specific country, this program is truly designed with the global mindset that brands today need to adopt in order to grow their brand into international successes.”
   After the four winners are announced in late May, DHL said it will support the winners, from transporting fabrics and supplies to shipping collections to the runway.
