DHL completes Incheon air hub relocation

DHL completes Incheon air hub relocation    Global air and ocean freight provider DHL said Tuesday it has completed the relocation of its airport operations to a new and larger cargo hub facility at Incheon International Logistics Center in Seoul, South Korea.
   The 1.25-million-euro, 2,209-square-meter facility, developed by DHL Global Forwarding, will provide an extensive spectrum of logistics services to customers, including air freight import and export services, customs clearance, bonded warehousing, consolidation and distribution service, DHL said in a release. The new facility is expected to provide a half-day shorter turnaround time and value added reconsolidation of product and logistics services for re-exported products.
   The investment in Korea is part of DHL’s strategy to upgrade its existing facilities to bolster its networks and infrastructure in Asia Pacific. DHL has invested more than $1.6 billion in the region.
