DHL Danzas Air & Ocean picks metaship software

DHL Danzas Air & Ocean picks metaship software    DHL Danzas Air & Ocean, part of express and logistics provider DHL, has contracted with Hamburg-based metaship AG for new centralized software to handle full-containerload and less-than-containerload sea freight contracts and rate agreements.
   The internal system will give registered users access to rates, surcharges, deductions, harbor dues and container service charges.
   “We looked at several standard solutions to support our contract management operations, but they would have involved comprehensive and costly customizing,” said Frank Romer, product manager, ocean freight, for DHL Danzas Air & Ocean.
   The application proffered by metaship “is based on common standards and, as such, is tailor-made to the needs of our sector,” Romer explained.
