DHL, DECISIONONE OFFER RETURNS MANAGEMENT
DHL Airways, the U.S. operating arm of DHL Worldwide Express, has teamed
up with computer maintenance firm DecisionOne to provide repair and return logistics
services for hi-tech companies looking to improve customer service in Latin America.
DHL and DecisionOne plan to offer their services to computer,
electronics, telecommunications and medical equipment manufacturers. The joint service
will be available in major Latin American and Caribbean markets, including Mexico,
Argentina and Brazil.
DecisionOne, based in Philadelphia and majority-owned by a division of
Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Inc., will do repairs out of DHL’s Express Logistics
Center near Miami International Airport.
DHL will provide express transportation, customs clearance and manage
domestic parts storage and distribution operations for the service throughout Latin
America.
