DHL expands Mexico gateway

   DHL Express said has opened a logistics gateway at Mexico City’s International Airport, together with a customer service call center.

   The company said the facilities, built at a cost of $6.2 million, are designed to significantly increase capacity and strengthen its Mexican and international network.

   DHL has been doing business in Mexico for 30 years.

   DHL Express said it has been building up its business in Latin America, planning to invest $200 million over the next two years, including $4.5 million to build a new hub in Panama that will increase capacity there by 250 percent.

   It also recently opened a new gateway facility in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
