DHL has begun early-morning helicopter delivery service from Los Angeles International Airport for banking customers located downtown as a way to guarantee 9 a.m. deliveries regardless of traffic.
While the service is currently limited to banking customers, officials said it could be expanded in the future.
The integrator has a similar service already operational in New York that carries deliveries from JFK Airport to banking customers.
“DHL is always looking for innovative ways to move our customers’ shipments with the greatest speed and reliability,” Mike Parra, chief executive officer of DHL Express U.S., said in a statement.
