DHL starts LCL service to Poland, Brazil

   DHL Global Forwarding has launched direct less-than-containerload services from India’s Nhava Sheva to Lodz, Poland, and Santos, Brazil.
   The weekly services will reduce transit times and lower CO₂ emissions by 17 percent to Poland and 9 percent to Brazil, according to DHL. The service will reduce the transit to Poland by 29 days and the transit time to Brazil by 38 days.
   “Our new services once again demonstrate our commitment to strengthen our network and support the needs of our customers,” DHL’s Thomas Tieber said in a statement. “By expanding our service offerings geographically, we ensure a timely and controlled delivery of door-to-door services, which include pick up at origin, consolidation and deconsolidation, along with customs clearance.” – Jon Ross
