DHL to add five Asia Pacific services to New York

DHL Express will add five new direct overnight flights from Asia to its international gateway at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, adding eight tons capacity per day.

DHL’s new flights to New York will comprise two daily direct flights from its Central Asia hub in Hong Kong, and one direct flight each from Bangkok, Thailand; Singapore; and Taipei, Taiwan.

“These five new direct transpacific flights to New York further strengthen our ability to serve U.S. customers importing goods from Asia Pacific, such as those in the highly competitive fashion and apparel industries in New York City,” said Fred Beljaars, executive vice president of operations for DHL Express in the United States.
