DHL workers slain in Kabul by security guard
A Briton who served as director for DHL in Afghanistan was shot dead in Kabul Saturday, news outlets reported over the weekend.
David Giles was killed along with the deputy director, Jason Bresler, a South African, as their silver SUV pulled into their office.
According to early newspaper reports, officials said they did not know the motive behind the shooting, but added it may not have been a targeted attack but the result of a clash with Afghan security guards. Later reports confirmed that a security shot the pair then shot himself.
The Taliban has denied any involvement.
