DHL WORLDWIDE BUYS ARGENTINE AGENT, PLANS INVESTMENT
DHL Worldwide Express has acquired its Argentine agent, DHL
International S.A. DHL said it plans to invest $10 million in the Argentina
market over the next 18 months.
The air express company has recently deployed aircraft into Latin
America, built an aviation hub in Panama and three service centers in
Brazil.
The $10-million investment will include a hub operation at Buenos Aires’
Ezeiza Airport, dedicated aircraft, technology, offices and consignment
handling systems and expanded services.
Andres Borrero, an area director for DHL Latin America, has relocated to
Buenos Aires to assume initial management of the operation.
