DiBernardo named head of Los Angeles port marketing

DiBernardo named head of Los Angeles port marketing The Port of Long Beach has named former APL executive Michael DiBernardo as the port's new director of marketing.
   A 24-year industry veteran, DiBernardo most recently served as the port's director of planning, and formerly as the assistant director of marketing at the port from 2003 to 2005. As director of marketing, DiBernardo will be responsible for managing the port's extensive sales, marketing and promotional programs.
   DiBernardo began with the Port of Los Angeles in the late 1970s as a student worker, leaving for various other companies before serving 19 years with shipping line APL. He ended his tenure at APL as director of logistics. DiBernardo returned to the port in 2002 as a marketing manager, promoting to assistant director of marketing in 2003.
