Dole repackages upper management

Dole repackages upper management Westlake Village, Calif.-based Dole Food said Tuesday that California billionaire and company owner David Murdock has been replaced as Dole chief executive officer by David DeLorenzo.
   DeLorenzo, 59, will also assume the role of company president, replacing Richard Dahl, who held the president and chief operating officer positions. The company said Dahl is leaving the company to pursue 'personal business interests.'
   A 37-year veteran of Dole, DeLorenzo also sits on the board of directors of the privately held company. DeLorenzo previously has served as president, COO and board vice chairman at Dole.
   Murdock will remain as board chair.
   Dole is one of the world’s largest producer and marketer of fresh fruit, vegetables and fresh-cut flowers, recording $6.2 billion in revenues last year.
