Dominican port security improving

Dominican port security improving

Overall security at Dominican Republic ports is improving, with fewer container burglaries and port security problems like stowaways and merchandise trafficking, according to a report in Dominican Today.

The report quoted remarks from Dominican Port Authority Director Jose Sanz, who was speaking at the Port of East Haina.

Sanz attributed the improvements to the joint efforts of the port authority and the Specialized Port Security Corp.
