Donjon Marine, SMIT Americas form OPA response venture
U.S. salvors Donjon Marine and SMIT Americas have agreed to form a joint venture operation to provide compliance and response services required by the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA-90).
According to the companies, the joint venture will not start until Dec. 31. Meanwhile, the companies will continue to independently provide these services.
Donjon Marine is based in Hillside, N.J. SMIT Americas is located in Houston.
